The Four Winds of Life
Each of us will encounter the four winds of life. The Bible mentions these four winds at least ten times. Most often, the bible describes these winds as destructive or devastating. The winds are a metaphor for God’s spiritual truth. In our text, God commanded the Angels to hold the winds. This passage refers to the end of the world, but the God who can hold the winds at the end of time can hold the winds that sometimes blow in our lives. How we respond to the four winds in life determines our relationship with God and our salvation. The four winds will blow. We cannot pray or fast enough to escape the four winds in life or a church. Brother Spears describes these four winds and the effects they have on a life and a church. The east wind is irritating. The north wind is destructive. But there is another wind. After we have endured the other winds, the south wind is the wind of restoration and renewal.

Matthew 14:22-33
We all have hope. But hope is not enough. Hope is a tool to get us to faith. We have to have hope in and for the right things. In our text, the disciples were in the boat rowing against strong winds. They were hoping to get out of the storm, but they had to live through their fear. When in a situation like this, we will put our faith and trust in something. It will either be in God, or it will be in the lies our minds tell us. Everybody is boing to believe something, and we have to make sure we are believing in the word of the Lord.

What extraordinary things have we seen in our lifetime? Bro. Spears’ father was born in 1905 and went from the introduction of motorcars to the landing on the moon. However, the most significant thing that we can see is the grace of God described in Titus 2:11. Bro. Spears shares the story of how his family came to God, and it all began with one touch of God while standing in their front yard raking leaves.

Rev. Ryan Peden Broken Prayers At times we can feel broken. God uses our brokenness. Noah, Abraham, Isaac, and Moses all experienced brokenness and placed themselves in submission to God. In each case, God heard the prayers of these broken men and used them to serve His purpose. God can use broken people to create something beautiful. Rev. Thomas McConathy Shout For The City Bro. McConathy uses the story of the fall of Jerico to illustrate and challenge us to take back our city.
